Battle Team/Freezetag Arena (BTFA)

Battle Team/Freezetag Arena (BTFA) contains 4 game types where only the most skilled players will win the match. You not only have to kill, you also have to survive to win this.

With Battle Team Arena (BTA) you can die only once. Once all members of a team are eliminated the other team gets a point and wins the round. Then a new round starts. You have to win a configurable number of rounds to win the game.

With Battle Freezetag Arena (BFA) instead of getting killed you can get frozen. Once all members of a team are frozen or dead the other team gets a point and wins the round.Then a new round starts. You have to win a configurable number of rounds to win the game.

Battle Instagib Arena is identical to BTA, but every player gets a Instagib rifle.

Battle Insta Freeze Arena is identical to BFA, but every player gets a Instagib rifle and thaw speed is doubled.

Pacer all the maps have been uploaded to both FTP's  so it looks like we are ready to rock once we find the doge jump and the utcomp mutator . Would we be able to put the doge jump as a seperate votable mod in case people don't want it? I also put a link to a map pack and the map list for the initial maps that we will be starting with up in the first post. Cheers!

Pacer I found and added both the Dodgejump and latest utcomp .zip files to the redirect folder. I wasnt sure where to put all the files and I noticed we had a different size DodgeJumP Mutator probly from ONS on there so I didnt want to fuck anything up. If we can put the dodge jump as a votable mutator that would probly be best. Thanks again man. Let me know an update once you put it on the server

I added BTA and BTFA with the maps you listed. I have not set up dodge jump yet. I don't know about UTComp.

Thanks pace but we need utcomp for the ping compensation and the customizable skins. It would be best to have both but at least get the utcomp working. I put both zip files on the ftp for you to go through. Those are the latest version too

just curious: are all DM maps playable in BTA? or are there some special aspects added while mapping for BTA?

I uploaded map pack 3 and should be ready to download in 20 minutes. All the maps on our BTA server are now in all 3 of these map packs. Once I find more "Qualty" maps I will continue to upload map packs with 10 in them.

I think you are getting too many maps, that is my opinion with warfare too. Many times on sunday night I end up dropping the server, and ut3 altogether because I dont have a map and I really dont care to play it enough to bother downloading it and installing it.

 

I say dump all the mediocre maps(WAR since I dont know the BTA maps):

Bittersands, Flare, Flux, Wastelands, etc, etc.... hell take all of my maps off too... Well, I think rails and alien sands should stay, maybe dawn.

While variety is great indeed I think it would be better just to get 10 maybe 15 of the best together.

 

my favorite customs (everyone has an asshole, I mean opinion) in no order:

 

Subway

Dawn: because its dawn

Alien Sands: because its crossfire

Cavern: 2k4 Torlan, always fun..... no orb is better

Death Dome: awesome

Masterbath: awesome

I just added a bunch of DM torrent files to our redirect so you can get those maps on USucc now. I'm peering til game time tonight.
